Third plenary meeting of 42nd ABAV Expo to address innovation

The third plenary meeting of the 42nd Brazilian Travel Agencies Congress will be held on September 26. The theme “Innovation that renovates - behavior and breaking paradigms” will be addressed and discussed by specialists Luiz Carlos Barboza from LCB Consultoria, professor Daniela Rocco of the University of Brasilia, and professor Augusto Alexandre Biz from the Federal University of Paraná. Ana Carolina Medeiros, vice-president of Qualification and Certification of ABAV Nacional, will mediate the meeting.

Each participant of the debate will have 15 to 20 minutes to talk. The goal of this debate is to discuss innovation for tourism companies from different perspectives, such as management, products, marketing and technology. As this is a broad theme, the different approaches will enrich the discussion and result in the acquisition of useful knowledge by the participants, who can make their travel agencies more competitive.

Based on the “preconception” that innovation relies on technology and large investments, Ana Carolina Medeiros says “it is possible to innovate based on simple ideas that allow for processes to be carried out in a more productive manner, by formatting innovative tourist products, or even by qualifying human resources”.

The 42nd Brazilian Travel Agencies Congress will be held from September 24 to 26 and will be fully dedicated to the tourism trade, allowing for the exchange of experiences and knowledge, in addition to promoting the debate on themes related to the daily activities of travel agents.
